- New: A Setup guide page walks you through adding a product, branding, a test order, connecting your store, payments and launching.
- New: Browse and import Starter Templates from Settings → Design & Branding.
- Fix: The Shippo shipping label screen crashed when the order’s shipping method had no description.

- Fix: Strengthened security of the passwordless login code flow (props to PatchStack).
- Fix: Hardened REST API request handling so requests only reach the intended endpoints (props to PatchStack).
- Fix: Improved validation of block icons and checkout redirect URLs (props to PatchStack).
Previous releases
4.9.6 — October 16th, 2026

- Fix: Creating an invoice failed for stores using Shippo, because a phone number was required but there was no field to enter it.

4.9.5 — October 12th, 2026

- Fix: Improved output escaping and input sanitization in several areas (props to dzaku of PatchStack and UKO – Korea University of Wordfence).
